We were recommended to Cedar Doctor NZ by a neighbour who had had the cedar on their house treated and we were impressed with it. Our cedar had badly deteriorated over time and the Cedar Doctor tradesmen did a wonderful job! They had a real problem with the weather but kept us well informed as to when they could come. They were very pleasant, experienced, knowledgeable and cheerful men who worked extremely hard when weather permitted and we are absolutely delighted with the result. We are extremely pleased with the job Cedar Doctor has just completed on our house, which had been neglected for quite some time! I was very impressed that John took the time to visit our Waiheke site beforehand. It is now looking revived and importantly well protected. John and the team are very friendly, extremely efficient, turned up when they said they would, and cleaned up after. We had to complete some building work before having the house cleaned and oiled and they were flexible and patient with shifting dates. I would not hesitate to recommend Cedar Doctor.

This is the fourth time I have had the Cedar Doctor oil my house. They are hard-working and totally honest. If you get a quote it doesn't change. They are on time and leave the house and householder feeling better off with making this decision to maintain the cedar wood so that cladding doesn't have to occur due to cedar wood being dry and brittle. John and Martin are family friendly, professional, and experts in the art of restoring and maintaining cedar houses. You can trust them! I have already booked John in for another re-coat in three years time. Five stars is definitely deserved.

Cedar Doctor did a good job rejuvenating our 25 year old cedar double garage door. Have since had them return (after 12 months) and carry out a reoiling in the interests of continuing maintenance - well worth it to get the maintenance carried out on time and hassle free - very professional crew and good guys to deal with.

This is the third time we've used Cedar Doctor because they have a cure for the problem, not just a remedy. We appreciate their efficiency and pleasant attitude and their care of our property (they left it spotless). We would recommend them to anyone at any time.

I recently had a considerable amount of wood oiled on my house by the Cedar Doctor. There are barge boards, feature ceilings on balconies as well as garage and front door feature wood aspects to my house. It had been a number of years since last being oiled and the wood had a lot of sun damage. I am very pleased with the end result. It was a pleasure to deal with Martin, who was always respectful and quick to reply, even when it seemed E-Mails weren’t getting through somehow! The house is architecturally challenging with a very steep roof that required a lot of scaffolding. They organised this well and showed a very high skill level to achieve the great final result. 👍👍

Job well done. When they said the house would come up as good as new, we thought it was only sales talk. But to our suprise it did. We are very pleased with the job. Cedar Doctors only did the cleaning and prep work the house was transformed in 1 day. We have oiled it 2 weeks later with Dryden wood oil colour Driftwood.

My experience dealing with Martin was fantastic. He was extremely patient and polite from the time I started communicating with him earlier this year. Martin and the team from Cedar Doctors did a fantastic job on my house’s cedar restoration. I don’t think it has look this good since I bought it 15 years ago, and other companies have cleaned and oiled it in that time! They provided excellent service from beginning to end, great communication and recommendations. Martin, John, Hans and team completed significant works at our property on precious native timber and cedar in a manner that gave us the best result possible. They were very patient from the outset with trialing staining products so that we got the effect we were after and they were exacting with their surface preparation and finish. This is my first experience of Cedar Dr but my third cleaning and oiling of my cedar house. I would definitely recommend Cedar Dr. I really appreciated the care taken by Cedar Dr's team from sales consultation through to completion of the job. Cleaning: Doors were sealed off to prevent any water entry, and care taken around windows etc. Completion: Sparkling clean windows on completion. The guys were considerate around the house and section. Will definitely use again.
